Location: Cobham Oval, Whangārei
Inspire Workshops, led by NDCA Captain Jess Watkin, are designed to help grow cricket for women and girls. We have two workshops in each region: Young Leaders and Female Coaches. The workshops are open to women and girls only.
10am-1pm - Young Leaders: Open to schoolgirls 19 and under. The aim is to create a safe space for our young leaders to get out of their comfort zone and discover/develop their leadership skills. The workshop will focus on three areas: 1. Leadership- we will look into styles of leadership, what does a good/bad leader look like and how does leadership look under pressure; 2. Cricket Tactical Awareness- scenario based, understanding the basic tactics; and 3. Personal Leadership Plan- Each participant will leave with a plan to develop their leadership further.
2-6pm - Female Coaches: Open to women and girls of all ages. A mix of advanced foundation and development coaching course, modified to focus on coaching females. There will be lots of practical components to give participants the tools for the upcoming season.
