Player Requests

Northern Districts Cricket Association (NDCA) are committed to the community and believe it is important for NDCA players to have a presence within our community. As a result, NDCA endeavours to support community requests where possible.

Due to player contract periods, NDCA can only consider player appearance requests which are during the contract period, which varies from season to season, usually starting in October and finishing in March.

Player appearance request criteria

For a request to be considered, it must meet the following criteria:

• Align with NDCA organisational values
  
• Show that the appearance will benefit the wider Northern Districts cricket community
  
• Show a clearly defined role for the player(s) at the event
  
• Have an appointed person leading the event - players are not expected to lead/run events
  
• An appearance must not exceed four hours, excluding travel time
  
• Activities with the risk of injury will not be considered
  
• Any photos or material from an appearance are made available to NDCA for promotional use
  
• Any photos or material from an appearance must not be used for commercial purposes - promotional use is fine

Submitting a request

Please note, player appearance requests must be received by NDCA at least four weeks prior to the event.

All player appearance requests must follow the below process to be considered:

1. Complete the NDCA Player Appearance Request online form at the bottom of this page at least four weeks prior to the date of the event
   
2. Once submitted, you will receive notification that it has been received
   
3. NDCA will then contact you regarding the outcome of the request

NDCA will do our best to accommodate requests, however please note that by meeting all of the criteria and submitting the form this does not guarantee a request will be approved.

NDCA reserves the right to decline requests.

Important information

1. NDCA endeavour to fulfil all commitments, however player schedules are subject to late changes as a result of unforeseen circumstances. If this occurs, player appearances may be amended or cancelled at late notice, or fulfiled by a replacement player. Should this occur, NDCA will contact the event lead as soon as possible.

   Post-event

   If a request is approved, following the event NDCA may ask for material and/or photos from the appearance featuring NDCA in the community. These photos and/or material may be used on NDCA's website, publication pieces or in match day promotions.

   After the event, a feedback form will be sent to the event lead. This is an opportunity to provide honest feedback to NDCA on the player(s) involvement in the event.
