DOMESTIC CRICKET IS BACK IN OCTOBER8 Aug 2023

Schedules for the Plunket Shield, Hallyburton Johnstone Shield, and Ford Trophy have been announced today. Like previous seasons, these competitions will be played in two parts: the first prior to Christmas and the second in late summer/early autumn once the DREAM11 Super Smash T20 competition has wrapped up.

Northern Districts (ND) home games will be played across Cobham Oval in Whāngarei, Seddon Park in Hamilton, and Bay Oval in Mt Maunganui.

The men's four-day competition, the Plunket Shield, will kick off the ND men’s domestic season with a face-off against the Otago Volts at Seddon Park starting Friday, 20 October.

The women's one-day competition, the Hallyburton Johnstone Shield, will feature day-night matches for the first time in the women’s one day competition.

Alongside the three day-night matches, the six round 50-over competition will also be entirely played at first-class venues in another first for the women’s domestic game.  The first ND women's fixture is set for Saturday, 18 November at Cobham Oval against neighbours Auckland Hearts.

The Ford Trophy, the men's one-day competition, sees ND's first fixture in Nelson at Saxton Oval. They'll take on the Central Stags there on Saturday, 25 November.

The men’s and women’s Dream11 Super Smash schedule will be announced in the coming months.
